The tee shows then: a dim room and a shy tan rescue mix peeking from behind the couch arm, ears pinned, worried eyes and a tiny potted plant on the shelf, and the same dog sprawled across the whole couch in a striped party hat, eyes blissfully closed.
The words on it: "Gotcha day. Five years ago she hid behind the couch for a week. Now the couch is hers." Five years from hiding to owning the couch, and every day of it counted.
Ten shirt colors to choose from, Heather Dust, Soft Cream, Navy and Dark Grey Heather among them, in sizes S-3XL. Wear it on weekends; it suits adopters celebrating gotcha day.
